DECODE INSOMNIA PROGRAM

Treatment program delivered at the DECODE Insomnia Clinic for youth ages 13-26 in Ontario Canada with insomnia or sleep timing issues.

THE DETAILS

​​How is treatment delivered?

  • Treatment is delivered with the use of DECODE ONLINE, an online course based on cognitive-behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), as well as OHIP-covered individual appointments for support and troubleshooting.  

  • An intake consultation will be scheduled to ensure that treatment is a good fit and to provide orientation to the program. ​

  • This program can be accessed at anytime; however, additional weekly youth and parent groups are run as cohorts over the course of a 6-week period.  Cohorts will run 3-4 times/year.  

  • All appointments and group sessions are virtual.

Who is eligible for this treatment program?

  • Participants must be between the ages of 13 and 26

  • Participants must live in Ontario, Canada

  • Participants must be ready to commit to a comprehensive treatment approach

How do I sign-up for this program?

  • If you are interested in participating in the DECODE Insomnia Program, please complete THIS FORM.  

  • After we receive the form, a short initial intake phone conversation will be arranged to discuss if this clinic/program is a good fit for you/your teen before arranging an intake consultation.  If you have been seen by Dr. Ooi at TSI, this pre-treatment visit is still required.

 

What is the cost of participating in this program through the DECODE Insomnia Clinic?

All youth group and individual appointments with Dr. Ooi are covered by OHIP.

 

There is a program fee to cover access to the online portal/app as well as the parent support sessions.

  • For youth and parent participation (strongly suggested for youth ages 13-18): $250*

  • For youth participation only: $100*

  • *Financial assistance can be discussed at the time of the intake consultation.
