GETTING STARTED WITH THE DECODE INSOMNIA PROGRAM

Please only sign up if you have been seen in consultation at this clinic and you have discussed treatment with your physician. â€‹Please visit www.decodeinsomnia.com/program for more information and FAQs.

STEPS

  1. Sign-up for access to the online learning platform here.

  2. In the online learning  platform, watch the videos in the Get Started, Jumpstart, and Automate modules. While completing everything before Visit #1 isn’t mandatory, working through as much as possible will help you identify challenges and get support during the session.

  3. Schedule Visit #1 (if not already scheduled).  During this 50-minute virtual group session, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and leave with a clear action plan for when you can’t sleep. If you haven’t already scheduled Group Visit #1 (typically this is scheduled by your physician during the consultation), please email decodeinsomnia@protonmail.com. If you’re unable to attend a group session (dates below), contact the clinic to discuss alternative options.

PROGRAM ROADMAP & SUPPORT

VERY SHORT Info Video About the DIP [Nov 2024] (1)_edited.png

After a consultation at the clinic, participants who are a good fit for the program can enroll in Phase One of the DECODE Insomnia Program.

Phase One is a 4-week curriculum centered around an intervention called the Reset. This 2- to 3-week process addresses the key factors driving chronic insomnia—such as an out-of-sync body clock, unhelpful associations with the bed, and inadequate sleep signals at bedtime—using a structured and coordinated approach. To set the stage for success and avoid common pitfalls that derail progress, participants complete preparation steps before starting the Reset.

Upon enrolling, participants gain immediate access to the online curriculum, enabling them to begin learning and taking action right away. Participants are encouraged to attend an onboarding session (Visit #1) within the first two weeks of starting the program. This virtual group session provides an opportunity to ask questions about initial strategies and finalize a clear action plan for managing sleepless nights.

Participants receive support and medical monitoring from their clinic physician (ex. guidance on reducing or discontinuing sleep medications during the program). Participants meet with their physician before starting the Reset (Visit #2) to ensure readiness and address any concerns as well as after completing the Reset (Visit #3) to review their progress, develop a relapse prevention plan, and discuss next steps (including the option of Phase Two of the program).
